wahoo! (X-posted from Murakami community)
I recently bought Hear the Wind Sing
and Pinball, 1973
from Amazon Japan! Not too long ago, these books were kind of hard to get, or were really expensive (upwards of $500 for Pinball
) I bought both of them with shipping for less than $50! Of course, I am living in Korea right now, so maybe they would cost more to ship elsewhere, but it's still a far cry from $500. They were both re-printed last year, which is why they cost less now.Pinball, 1973Hear the Wind Sing Current Mood: wahoo!
Another discussion question!
So, what is it with the Man with No Face and Eri? What happened with Eri during the night? Was it all real? A dream? Another dimension? Current Mood: curious
After Dark - Discussion Question
Welcome all to this community! To start it off, what better way to do so than with a discussion question!
In Chapter 15, while discussing the afterlife, Korogi says to Mari, "You seem to have a good, strong grip on yourself." (p. 202) Is this true? Does Mari have a better grip on herself than others? What about her sister? Is there someone more sure of his or herself than her?
Do you think being bullied, as Mari was, is a better way to be sure of yourself? Would it have been easier if she was beautiful, like her sister?
My answer will be in the comments. Also, someone want to help moi make this place look beautiful? candybouquet
